UpdateProjectProperty activity takes 5 minsto update a field

Hello,

I am having a Project server 2010 workflow that is associated with an EPT, in the Initiation of the workflow i use the UpdateProjectProperty activity to update 4 custom fields.

When creating a new project from that specific EPT, the initiation of the Project takes 20 mins, after debugging the problem i found that each UpdateProjectProperty activity takes 5 mins and that makes the huge dealy which of course is not acceptable.

any help of why the UpdateProjectProperty activity is beahving like this or how to avoid such dealy, is really needed and appreciated.
