Firstly, I am not a programmer - but an MSPS Admin. We have received new cost rates that are to become effective on a certain date. Since we need to keep the old rates in tact, the manual way to accomplish this is to modify the resource information for every resource in the ERP (about 212 resources) as shown in the illustration below.
I understand that a VBA script may be used to accomplish this task. The updated rate table is based on Primary Role (which is a custom resource enterprise code). Approximately 90 Primary Roles are associated with the ERP listing - each with a different rate (of course some are not used - but they exist).
Question: Can a VBA script be created to accomplish changing the cost rate - effective after a certain date - and still keep the standard rate in place for tasks prior to that effective date? If so, will the new rate be displayed in the Resource Information window (Costs Tab) as shown above?
