Unable to set Project Start Date from PSI

Hi,

I am creating a project using PSI. After creating the project using PSI, i am also updating the Project Start Date using PSI.

However, the Project Start Date is not getting set. The project is being created with an EPT that has a Project Plan Template associated with it. The task in Project Plan Template have an earlier start date than the Start date set. Hence, the Project Start date is not applied.

I am looking for ways to set the Project Start date and have the Task dates updates based on the Start Date set. However, I am unable to do it from PSI. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
