Accessing the Tool Pane data

Hello, 

In a Custom Project Field web part, I would like to access the Tool Pane data so as to know what Displayed Project Fields are already in my Web Part.

I know that it is pretty easy to extend the Tool Pane with Tool Parts but I haven't found any way to access the already existing data of the Tool Pane.
