My company has enterprise MS Project Server 2010. We've been given a site collection with a completely separated database. The server administration team consists of two individuals who do not have time to implement the customizations that my project requires. They want me to be able to put my tested customizations into productions. They want me to find a way to connect my dev environment to the site collection for moving my tested customizations into production.
Is it possible to modify the Project workflows using Visual Studio as well as the Ribbon so that only our site collection is affected? If so, how can I set up a development environment to connect to our site collection to make these changes?
If it is not possible, I'll need to inform my management immediately that we will need our own MS Project Server set up for our program.
